Longbow Environment
Longbow = made from recycled materials, recyclable disposal = The green choice. More than 500 million OEM toner and inkjet
cartridges are manufactured every year. If these cartridges are not
diverted from landfill, this equates to almost 1,000 tons of
unnecessary pollution that can enter our waste stream every day.
Longbow fulfils a fundamental requirement of the green agenda. Being
both a remanufactured product, as well as recyclable, it helps our
customers fulfil their environmental agenda objectives. Remanufacturing
Longbow toner cartridges use recycled parts where possible, offering a
completely re-engineered and reworked product. As all non-critical
components can be reused, energy resources and capital equipment are
greatly reduced compared to producing the same cartridge from new raw
materials.
Recycling
Recycling is one of the simplest ways any organsiation can help the
environment. Taking action on waste is essential, since we are
consuming natural resources at an unsustainable rate and contributing
unnecessarily to climate change.
All printer cartridges can be recycled – OEM or remanufactured.
Did you know: - It takes up to
3 litres of oil to produce the plastic casing for a single cartridge –
that’s up to 1.5 billion litres of oil a year used consumed just to
manufacture new cartridges.
- It takes between 400 to 1,000 years for a toner cartridge to break down in a landfill site!
- On average, remanufacturing expends 80% less energy than building cartridges from new.
- All
scrap metals, plastics, paper and cardboard used in the production of
Longbow toner cartridges are locally recycled into everyday consumer
items.
