  • Proactive alert setting, automatic action taking
  • Advanced traffic-monitoring capabilities

HP Networking Mobility Manager (PMM)

HP Networking Mobility Manager 3.0 provides a single point in which to plan, deploy, manage, and monitor a Networking wireless LAN (WLAN). As a plug-in software module for HP Networking Manager Plus, this powerful tool provides visualization of predictive radio frequency (RF) coverage and location of WLAN infrastructure, unmanaged (rogue) access points, and wireless clients all in the same map that can be created through imported floor plans. Monitoring network health is easy with an integrated, single-screen dashboard providing device or network-wide wireless network utilization and client activity. With HP Networking Mobility Manager 3.0 integrated seamlessly into HP Networking Manager Plus, network administrators can easily manage their wireless and wired network from a common, unified network management console.

Product Overview:

  • RF coverage virtualizer
  • WLAN monitoring, configuration, and reporting
  • Health/performance dashboard views of wireless LAN
  • Tight integration with HP Networking Manager Plus

Network Immunity Manager (NIM)

HP Networking Network Immunity Manager is a plug-in for HP Networking Manager Plus that detects and automatically responds to internal network threats such as virus attacks. Additionally, it provides central management of HP Networking Threat Management Services (TMS) zl Modules. It leverages security and traffic-monitoring features built into HP Networking switches such as sFlow, Virus Throttle, and remote mirroring technologies, as well as performs network behavior anomaly detection (NBAD) to detect attacks. Optionally, it remotely mirrors suspect traffic to an IDS/IPS/UTM appliance such as the HP Networking TMS zl Module. This security tool provides visibility into internal network threat activity to help increase network availability.

Product overview:

  • Intrusion detection
  • Intrusion response
  • Security management
  • Reporting
  • Flexible deployment

Identity Driven Manager (IDM)

HP Networking Identity Driven Manager (IDM), a plug-in to HP Networking Manager Plus, dynamically provisions network security and performance settings based on user, device, location, time, and endpoint posture. Identity Driven Manager provides network administrators with the ability to centrally define and apply policy-based network access rights that allow the network to automatically adapt to the needs of users and devices as they connect, thereby enforcing network security while providing appropriate access to authorized network users and devices. Identity Driven Manager is a powerful tool that allows network administrators to efficiently manage the users and devices connecting to their network.

Product Overview:

  • Provides appropriate access to network resources
  • Policy- and identity-based network access rights
  • Dynamically configures security and performance
  • Resilient architecture promotes high availability
  • Integrates with MS Active Directory and NAP

Protect confidential data and defend against attacks on the network?
Protect wireless traffic between authenticated clients and the wireless access point from eavesdroppers and hackers with    industry standard encryption methods.

Restrict the resources available to guests - with VLANs you can keep the guest traffic virtually in a separate network to ensure the security of your resources. Source port filtering is another waterproof method to prevent specified devices from communicating with others devices on network.

‘Protected Ports’ is another simple way to ensure traffic integrity. You can for example provide Internet or Server access to users, but prevent them from accessing each other.

One proven method to prevent Denial of Service (DoS) Attacks is called “ rate limiting”. It helps to ensure that the important traffic reaches its destination in any case.

BPDU and Root guard help similarly to detect unwanted changes in your network topology.
Port Mirroring - Allows traffic on network to be mirrored to an intrusion detection system (IDS) or other monitoring station.

Securely manage the network infrastructure and stay in control of the network?
Access control and other built-in security features can be set up in a few steps through an easy-to-use Web management interface. More comprehensive CLI configuration is also available. Centralized management tools, such as HP Networking Manager, fortify security within a unified wired and wireless network.

SSH/SSL/SFTP Protocols – Provides encrypted management communications between the device and the network administrator.

Efficient technologies like sFlow help to monitor traffic flows and detect anomalies that may be potential security threats.
TACACS+/RADIUS authentication support provides secure authentication methods to validate network administrator access.
Physical Security – Protect your network uptime and configuration settings by disabling reset and clear buttons.
